  • Prior to joining Grand Valley State University, I taught Computer Information Systems in the College of Business at James Madison University, and Business and Computer Science at Eastern Mennonite University, both in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
  • Before I began my academic career, I served as the Director of Data Processing and Data Coordinator at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA, and as the General Manager and System Analyst/Consultant at a computer solutions provider; ComputerWorks.  I worked my way through college as a radio station manager and announcer.

Hobbies and personal interests

  • Being Grandpa!  The most rewarding role anyone could have.  All of my grandchildren are the sweetest gift from God!
  • Pride and joy: both my daughter and son attended GVSU and make me a proud father and grandfather, all parenting credit goes to my wife.
  • Cheering for GV Lakers teams and our grandchildren's games
